About Violet

I'd describe my personality as kind, genuine, and patient. I like working with kids because they have a wonderfully unique perspective on life! I feel I learn so much when I spend time with kids and I love to teach them what I know about how to be a kind and resilient human being. I am the eldest of four, so I have been around kids my whole life! My youngest sister is only a month old, with the second oldest being 13. So I have plenty of experience with all ages. One thing you should know about me is that I value using gentle and respectful childcare techniques. This is because I see kids as whole, complex human beings who have a right to be treated with respect and guided with love and compassion. I will not raise my voice, but instead use age and ability appropriate communication skills to work through issues. I believe in keeping an open line of communication with both children and parents, and of course, safety is my first priority!
