About Vince

Hello! My name is Vince. I am very happily married to my lifelong wife. I have a 37-year-old daughter and have spent my entire adult life nurturing, teaching, and caring for children from birth to age 4, and special needs children ages 3 to adolescent. I retired from the Clark County School District (1988-2011) after nearly 25 years of assisting & caring for the disabled students. Prior to that, from 1974-1988, I worked for a babysitting agency (1981-1988) as an on-call babysitter who cared for young children of tourists/guests, dispatched to their hotel room at an hourly rate. From 1974-1981, I began my child care experience at Grandma Thompson's Romp and Play Child Care Nursery, starting as an infant/toddler room assistant, later becoming a room teacher when I reached 18 years of age. The nursery was closed in 1981, after the owner passed. I have been teaching a wonderful classroom of 1-year-olds (12-23 months) on Saturday evenings at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, for nearly 6 years. My Ministry Director and my Preschool Director can provide excellent references for you. I am a good cook and housekeeper and will interact with, teach & encourage all children with endless joy! My lifetime dedicated mission in caring for & nurturing children birth to 4 yrs. of age has always been focused on the development of the children's individual unique personality. I am a positive encourager that is always attentive to all needs, and teaching improved motor skills, walking--from crawling stages, reading and mat/"tummy" time. I am a great multi-tasker, and I am able to care for multiple children with excellence in learning!
