About Vida
Experience: 10 yrs
I have extensive experience with the special needs population and with children of all ages. I have worked in childcare, day programs, after school programs, as an in home sitter, camp counselor for children with HIV/AIDS and supervised a residential facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (guidelines and care provided for this population center on teaching, patience and creative activities similar to what is utilized with children). I have a BA degree in Behavioral Science and am completing my Master of Social Work degree.

As a first time mom hiring a babysitter for the first time was very stressful. I have no family in town and had to rely on Care.com to find a reliable and trustworthy sitter. That is hard to do because you are looking for a stranger to watch your most precious gift. After messaging several people Vida seemed the most reliable and experienced person for the job. I arranged an in home interview and she was amazing with my 14 month old daughter. You could tell she was all about taking care of kids and their needs came first. She set my mind at ease. Since then I have hired her again and would recommend her to anyone. I feel very comfortable with her and have no doubts about her ability to care for my daughter!
