She was a pretty self sufficient woman, but I would help her with bathing, meals, cleaning, and medication management.. As well as keeping her company. Last year my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I cared for her part time, as my mother was not able to be there for her full time. I now have knowledge of how Alzheimer's can affect a person and the patience and love that is required in caring for a person with Alzheimer's.
