I'm currently looking for a part-time nanny/care attendant position. The family I currently work for are leaving to move back to France in July. I've worked for them for a year. I took care of their two children after school and tutored them. I graduated from college last year with a Psychology degree. I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to go to grad school for. As of right now I would like to eventually go back to school to get a degree in Special Education. One thing I have learned from this past year as a nanny, is I can teach. The children I watched are french and their second language is English. So their were many moments when things they learned in school were not clear. In the meantime, I've found being a nanny to be fulfilling and a lot of fun. I enjoy working with children. I love to have fun with kids. I'm not one to sit a child in front of a TV. I love to interact with them. I'm a pretty crafty person and enjoy doing crafts with kids. I also love to cook and bake. It's fun getting kids involved. I have some experience with special needs children. A year and a half ago I took care of a little boy who has autism and an array of other disorders in the town where I attended school. He has been a joy and I have been so blessed to have him and his family in my life. It has also been a wonderful learning experience. Over the course of the year I worked with a severely autistic boy and a little girl that is autistic as well but very high functioning. I also have excellent references if needed.

Victoria has worked with our family for over a year and has provided wonderful and nurturing care for our son with developmental delays. She has gone out of her way to make sure that he has his needs met. She has driven back and forth to therapy and truly became a part of his therapy team. She has done more than any caregiver probably should. We are very thankful that she has given so much to our family.
