About Vani

Hi families! My name is Vani. I'm a 28-year-old social work grad student living in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I graduated from college in 2017 and spent the next two and a half years living in Guinea, West Africa as a Public Health Educator with the Peace Corps. I have a lot of experience working with children, most significantly as a case worker for children in foster care. I regularly provided child care as a part of my job and would often pick children up from school to bring them to appointments, activities, and visits with their family. Additionally, I currently co-lead a Girl Scouts troop in Park Slope. Throughout my life, I have navigated the needs of many children and families. I am enthusiastic and creative and will bring fun, age appropriate games and projects to work on with your children. I am warm and engaged while maintaining clear boundaries. I am fully vaccinated, as are my two roommates. I also have excellent references that I can provide upon request!
