I live downtown & want to walk/bike to work :-) Part-time preferred, 1-3 days/week, but open to full-time. I substitute teach at the elementary schools(the famous & favorite Ms. Shin) so my availability is VERY flexible. I also love babysitting! I'm organized, silly, proactive, outdoorsy, patient, & pride myself on exceeding expectations. I'm a storyteller with many adventure tales like biking across the US & climbing volcanoes! I've worked in all school levels, tutored, ran a day camp, ran after-school clubs, & taught English abroad. I speak some Spanish & Chinese & have special needs experience. My last nanny position was for 6 years. I believe in unconditional respect & I strive to empower kids to be responsible, resilient, adventurous & involved in their community. Valerie is a truly amazing person. She is so comfortable with kids, really engaging them and meeting them where they are at, yet at the same time has amazing control over them. I trust her completely with my kids and my kids beg to have her come over. I always feel like she has them doing something that will enrich them emotionally and developmentally through creative play. And of course she is excellent at the basics of feeding and helping to change smaller kids. But the real reason you'll be happy that you hired Valerie is because of the joy and positivity she brings.
