About Uma

Hi! My name is Uma . I'm a rising sophomore at Temple University. My major is advertising. I graduated from South Lakes High School with an advanced degree and a 4. 0 GPA in 2022. In high school, I participated in the National English Honors Society where I tutored and developed students' essays. I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch during my senior year as a sales associate. I grew up in a single-parent household and have always helped my mom out by taking care of my younger sister. I have lived in Reston, Virginia, my whole life and I find it important to participate in giving back to the community in which I live. I've organized towel, blanket, and food drives to support the local Embry Rucker Shelter. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and being outdoors. I'm currently studying Italian. I love taking care of animals - dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, you name it. I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to care for and share my experience with kids.
