About Tracy

I have been a registered nurse since 2004. Most of my experience comes from working as a bedside nurse in the hospital setting. Inpatient bedside nursing is something I loved, however, I needed a change of pace. After working on medsurg units for approximately 10 years and 1 year as a nurse liaison, I decided to stay within St Vincent and move to the anticoagulation clinic. I have been there for 2. 5 yrs and recently switched from part time to PRN which only requires I work one 8 hr shift /mo. The population here is mainly seniors which is the age group I have always loved and am use to helping most. I find greater satisfaction in this field as I feel I can connect and have a more personal relationship with my patients due to the one on one interaction. I have chosen to stay at this job but would like to try home health as it is something I have always thought of doing. I am able to help with meds, baths, meals, errands, and provide transportation to doctor visits as well.
