I am a certified elementary teacher going into nursing at the community college. I worked as a teacher for 6 years ages 5 to 11. I also worked a year in a preschool in Seattle before subbing in Kindergarten for the school district. I worked as a substitute for 4 years total before getting hired. I finished my prerequisites I needed and am going to get my CNA renewed in April to apply for the nursing program that begins in August. I find I work well with kids and the elderly because I am patient and creative. I am thinking of nursing in pediatrics as a possible career path.
