Taylor worked as a nanny for our family full-time for a year, from the time our little one was 4 months old to 16 months. Her duties included reading stories, walking the baby in the stroller, playing with baby, light housework (cleaning baby's room, folding and putting away laundry), and some feeding toward the end of the yearlong contract. We appreciate that Taylor became a trusted person in the eyes of our little one, which is important. In terms of areas for growth as a full-time nanny, I'd suggest focusing scheduling and time-off planning--quantity of time-off taken aligning more with the expectations laid out initially (which already felt generous on our part, providing most federal holidays, full week between Christmas and New Year's, additional week, plus sick days), and time off was often on short notice. Additionally, she did not come in for the last work week after agreeing to do so (which was going to be part-time to help our little one transition more easily into daycare). Especially early on, we also provided feedback/encouragement a few times that we wanted more talking to the baby to help with language acquisition/vocabulary. Overall, it was helpful to have Taylor. If we had another kiddo, maybe we'd hire her again, pending working out the scheduling issues. -Ashley and Steve
