About Taylor

Hi! I am a licensed K-12 LBD (Learning Behavior Disorder) teacher with three years of professional experience in public school with grades 2, 6, and 8. I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, and have always had a passion for working with special education - there is no better feeling than seeing your student's faces light up when they finally understand the lesson and master the skill! I have since left the public school system, but want to continue having a positive impact on students' education. I have experience working with diagnoses including ADHD, autism, dyslexia/other reading disabilities, behavioral disorders, intellectual disabilities, and mild mental disabilities. I have been trained (not certified - completed a week-long workshop) in Orton-Gillingham, a reading intervention program that helps those struggling to read, especially helping those with dyslexia.
