About Taya

I like tutoring because it allows me to share the gift of knowledge. My love for learning has been with me for life. However, kids are often dissuaded from education because of the association with school and the difficulties it brings. I hope to instill a love for learning within everyone I meet and teach them to be life-long learners. When a kid has that light-bulb moment, it compels them to learn and discover more and more of what the world has the offer. My top three tutoring skills would be as follows. I excel at helping kids with memorizing techniques that help prepare them for memory intensive class work. Another of my skills would include helping kids understand material better by breaking it down step by step. Lastly, I pride myself on being able to help kids connect what is learned in the classroom to the outside world. Making these connections not only solidifies their understanding of the topic, but also allows them to apply their newly gained knowledge.
