Hi! My name is Tammy. I am a care expert with 10+ years of experience. I use the known best practices to navigate the challenges of care for dementia-related diseases. My approach to caregiving centers around the patient's overall well-being by providing engagement opportunities. After my late husband's dementia diagnosis, I began advocating for families like mine. I educated myself via seminars, conferences, and formal training such as expert Teepa Snows' Knowledge Intensive Dementia Training and more. I gained professional experience enriching the lives of patients in varying disease stages, organizing volunteer events at a Memory Care Center, teaching a dementia-related curriculum for CNA classes, and sharing my knowledge with other families. I began to feel called to advocate for change.
