About Sydney

The most meaningful work I have ever done, is working with youth. I volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club of the Keys Area throughout high school. Upon graduating, I became an activity coordinator at the Key west location, working with 100+ children per day. I relocated to the Big Pine Key BGC, where I was promoted to Program Director and was responsible for budgeting, scheduling, meal plans, field trips, functionality of national youth development programs, as well as youth safety. Upon promotion, I completed DCF and DJJ trainings, to meet the qualifications of the Program Director position. I have primarily worked with school-aged children, some with special needs of all over the Autism spectrum, two deaf children, and outside of my time with the BGC, I have also worked with infants and toddlers. I believe in the individuality and creativity of youth as well as providing a safe, positive, fun environment that encourages the benefits of education as well as personal growth.
