About Sydney

Hello! I am a UC Berkeley senior with a lot of experience teaching and tutoring. I have been babysitting, coaching, and tutoring since I was in high school and have a natural connection with children. I have experience teaching/tutoring ages 2. 5 - 15. I have grown up around large and small dogs and have a cat of my own, so I am very comfortable being around any pets. I have always loved teaching kids and have experience in the forms of soccer coaching and tutoring since high school. My approach to teaching is characterized by patience, communication, engagement, and adaptability. I modify and cater my teaching approach based on the unique and individual learning style of the child. I love to get creative with ways of holding attention or with methods of teaching difficult or complex subjects. I love to watch as students overcome challenges and gain more confidence in their academic abilities.
