About Susan

Care-giving has become a second career for me, originally starting with a business degree working in the energy industry which I left to care for my Mother with Parkinson s disease. For over 15 years I have been actively working with seniors in various capacities. Some of the areas I have dealt with are as follows: companionship, medications, blood sugar and insulin injections, PEG tube, vitals, scheduling and driving to Dr. appointments, meal preparation, coordinating with home health care, reporting to loved ones on the progress, while assuring the patients safety. Some of the patients conditions I have cared for are stroke patients, congestive heart failure, diabetes, muscular dystrophy disease, wound care and accompanied when hospitalized. My experience also includes stepping in to assist in organizing patient care management tools and records, overseeing caregiver staffing, payroll and bill paying, bank reconciliation, insurance reconciliations and resolving billing issues.
