About Sumiko

I currently work at MSD as a para educator (teaching assistant) with students who have moderate to severe special needs. At school I help students with their academics and make sure they are safe at both the playground and cafeteria. I'd describe my personality as bubbly, fun, attentive, caring, and eager. I like working with kids because I enjoy being around their presence and energy. I am currently working towards getting my special education teaching credential. I'm looking for a job that is flexible and I am able to gain experience from the wide range of age groups. I started working with kids since I was 17 years old. I would tutor and babysit. In my spare time, I like to crochet, read, watch TV, bake, and cook. One thing you should know about me is I am very attentive. I work very hard to make sure I am keeping up with my students and their needs, which are constantly changing. My skills include being patient, communicating with all parties involved, and problem solving.
