I have been watching kiddos since I was still one myself! Kids are incredible and I love working with them. I've been a board certified music therapist since 2015, and am familiar with child development, as well as special needs. I have also been teaching private music lessons to kids of all ages since 2009. Before moving to North Carolina in June of 2020, I was the Music Therapist and Life Enrichment Director for an Assisted Living and Memory Care community in the Seattle, WA, area for 3 years. This required organization, ability to be flexible, varying levels of communication, a sense of humor, creativity, warmth, care, and fun. During my year in North Carolina, I privately taught preschool to a 4-year-old in her home while managing a private lessons studio. I got married in May 2022, and we have endured some major life changes due to my brain cancer diagnosis shortly after our wedding. However, I am ready to work again - and open to any questions regarding my circumstances!

I hired Stephanie as an at home preschool teacher for my then 4 year old. Stephanie came prepared every week with new themes complete with lesson plans packed with fun activities. She kept my daughter engaged and busy. I was blown away by how much my daughter learned from Stephanie. But the biggest gift from hiring Stephanie is she became more like family to us. And if it wasn’t her needing to relocate to a new state, I know for a fact Stephanie would still be a constant in our lives. She treated my daughter as her own, which is all us parents want for our children. But Stephanie went above and beyond. I can’t thank her enough for all she has done for my daughter. Currently my daughter is in elementary school and she’s reading like a champ. I credit a lot of her recognition of words to Stephanie practicing with her. Stephanie also made sure to tidy up any messes made from fun activities. And she was always on time. Her care for my daughter is still unmatched. We miss her dearly.
