About Sophia

I honestly remember starting to tutor when I was 9 years old. My younger siblings had started kindergarten, and, as their older sister, I took it upon myself to try to help them with all of their schoolwork (even when they didn't want me to). As we grew up, I continued to help them with their homework, and blossomed as a student in my own right. My strong sense of determination and thirst for knowledge helped me succeed in taking as many advanced courses as I could in high school. I was selected by teachers to become a peer tutor, a role in which I helped struggling students in classes I was currently taking, or had already taken. It was around this time I realized I wanted to pursue education. Since starting college, I have completed multiple courses and independent research projects in the field of Education. Teaching is a true passion of mine, and, if you are interested, I would love to talk about tutoring you or your child this summer.
