About Sophia

My name is Sophia, although I go by my middle name Avalon, and I'm a very motivated and enthusiastic person. I've come to love childcare after I became an aunt for the first time and began to help take care of my niece in a way that I hadn't been exposed to before, and I fell in love with it. Children have always been a big part of my life whether it is family, friends, or acquaintances. I worked as a teacher assistant at the Court Street Childcare Center for the summer of 2016, leaving only to finish school. I have gone on multiple mission trips to Mexico in which we helped repair the orphanages and play with the children. I have volunteered at many summer camps, including Canyonview, and RiverView where I was a counselor for both. Along with that I have also worked as a babysitting for many people I'm close to. I'm very punctual, and I take my work seriously. Connecting with families and children is one of the most important aspects of my work.
