Hello I'm Sonia and moved into the New York area from Austin TX about two years ago. I'm currently working as a warehouse associate but would love to work with kids again part time. I'm 31 years old and have been working with kids since I was 19. I've worked at day cares, after school programs, bus driving, nanny and so much more. I am a very energetic person who loves to hike, workout and do any type of outdoor activities. I care about my health and that of those around me, so I take precautions due to the situation with COVID 19. When I'm not working , I'm volunteering my time to help rebuild homes that have been affected by natural disasters. Sonia provided care for my infant from 5-13 months. Sonia was always on time and very dependable. She requested a day off and it was well planned for ahead of time allowing us to find backup care for that day. I believe Sonia to be extremely safe with her own health and as a result did not require any time off for illness. She always wore a mask around the house with my baby. Sonia was able to follow Baby wise principles for sleep as it was my preference. We did Baby Lead Weaning starting at 6 months and Sonia was able to adapt and follow that safely. Never had a choking incident. We did very casual Elimination Communication and Sonia took on this new experience with stride. Sonia was very adaptable and would put into practice any new things I requested. She is a quiet person but asked questions when necessary and always kept me up-to-date with important things relating the care of my baby. My baby loved hanging out with Sonia and I feel it was reciprocated. We miss her!
