Hi! My name is Sofia. I am currently getting my Master's of Social Work from Columbia and graduated from Cornell with a major in Human Development and minors in Spanish and Law & Society. I live in NYC, but grew up in Bergen County, NJ. I've loved working with kids ever since I was one! I started babysitting at 13 years old and over the years, I've babysat for families with children ages 6 months - 12 years. I have experience in preschool, summer camps, tutoring, and mentoring. Currently, I'm a Youth Advocate Counselor in a middle school providing therapy for seventh graders. I also facilitate groups for kids to learn about social-emotional learning in English and Spanish. I have extensive knowledge of child and adolescent development. I also love to play and have fun! I love trips to the zoo and movies or creating our own fun indoors with activities.
