About Skylar

I'd describe my personality as nurturing, patient, and kind. I started working with kids in licensed facilities when I was 18 years old. Through the years I worked my way up from assistant teacher to director of a private preschool. I have worked with every age group from infant to 12 years. I decided to leave the field to spend more time at home with my own children. Having experience in early childhood classroom settings some skills I have include helping develop vital social and emotional skills, physical skill building (gross and fine motor), and academic skill building (age appropriate) using a play-based model. In my spare time, I like to go camping and hiking with my family. Travel is very important to us, we want our children to experience as much as possible.
