About Shyonna

Hi families!! I am originally from Eugene, OR but moved to Hawaii for college. I am attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa and am studying Social Work. I have worked around children most of my life! I started at my church helping in the infant room. I then worked at a daycare for 2 years before moving here. I also did work study in that time at my neighborhood elementary school. As well as many babysitting jobs! I love the beauty of all stages of childhood and think they are all equally as important and wonderful! Within my experience, I have found many skills that help me connect and engage! My strengths include but not limited to: - positive reinforcement - behavior management - creative problem solving - positive relationship bonding - engaged learning Though I believe those skills are important and versatile in all stages of childhood, I strongly believe each child is their own individual and deserves their own individualized learning plan and guidance.
