About Shirley

Hi, my name is Shirley! I am 22 years old and from South Pasadena. I'd describe my personality as bubbly, caring, and optimistic! I started working with kids in high school. I was a part of a class that allowed me to be a teacher's aid for local elementary schools. I continued working with kids in college by volunteering my time to curate lesson plans on dental hygiene. The lesson plans emphasized the importance of dental health and hands on activities that taught how to properly take care of our teeth. My club and I taught our lesson plans at surrounding elementary schools. I have been on Care. com since September 2023 and have provided care for kids ranging from 1 to 12 years old. Most jobs consist of outdoor activities, homework help, and play with cleanup. In my spare time, I like to try new restaurants, watch movies, play board games, and hangout with my friends and family.
