I first started working with kids as a Sunday School teacher at my church. Every week I would create activities and lessons for the kids to use on Sunday and Tuesday. I'd work with them for 2-3 hours singing songs, playing games, and teaching bible stories. I later became a preschool teacher at a daycare in Texas, where I lived for 2 yrs. and worked for 15 months. At the daycare I worked with children ages 3-5 yrs. old and sometimes I'd substitute with the 18 months to 2yr. old class. We taught the children songs, learned alphabets and numbers, and how to write their name. I would also babysit for different families that attended church with me. Sometimes I would sit with them for a few hours at night, cooking/feeding them dinner, playing games, reading stories, giving them a bath and getting them ready for bed. There were also times I would stay overnight. On those days the kids and I would walk/ play in the park or even clean up the house together.
