About Sherissa

Hello! My students call me Ms. Shay. Previously, I have worked in preschools working with infants all the way up until Pre-K, however, Pre-K was the primary grade that I taught. After that, I became an after school counselor and then a director for after school sites for grades Pre-K up to 5th grade. I enjoyed doing that for 2 and 1/2 years and decided to switch over to the administrative side (that's where all of the behind the scenes magic happens!). I wanted to be more involved into the curriculum so I worked as curriculum administrator for 2 years. I am passionate about helping students learn in any way that I can. My favorite thing about working with kids is seeing their face light up when they learn new things! I enjoy making learning fun for all and want your child to feel confident in the classroom! I am currently a business & psychology student and working towards my reading tutor certification. My services are virtual only, as I do not offer any in person tutoring.
