About Shelby

My experience is mostly with my own family! My grandmother had knee complications and COPD which hindered her walking. We would go to the YMCA and swim together to help her rehabilitate and gain strength so she could do the things she loved daily! More recently, my grandfather was diagnosed with PSP(Progressive supranuclear palsy)and also tore his meniscus so he has had trouble with walking, making food, getting to the bathroom and carrying out exercises that help him feel independent. In addition, his memory has taken a decline so I have helped structure his day, prep healthy meals, play games and create conversation, as well as get out into the community for short strolls and social interaction! When not with him I will call him and check in on how he is doing. Outside of Senior Care, I have worked with children and young adults with epilepsy and other neurological disorders, and have been a nanny for newborns! I am here to help no matter the age!
