About Shelby

I have five years of experience caring for children, during which I was a part-time, full-time, and overnight nanny. Over the past two years, I have also worked as a Hotline, Hospital, and Staff Advocate for the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center and as an Outreach and Aftercare Manager for a program dedicated to providing a safe place and loving home to the Commercially Sexually Exploited Youth (CSEY) population in Texas. I have experience facilitating educational programs and creating life skills curriculum within my work. As well as participating in several trainings including CPR/First Aid, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, Trauma-Informed Care, Medication Administration, Psychotropic Medication, Normalcy, Mediation, Motivational Interviewing, Peer to Peer Abuse, and Human Trafficking. I can provide certificates to all of these trainings upon request.
