About Shannara

During the past 10 years, I've had the privilege of becoming an integral part of 4 wonderful families. This Fall will be my 5th year working with one of those families. I have 30 years experience working with children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers, as both a nanny & a preschool (& high school) teacher. During the past 4 years, I've assisted in teaching elementary curriculum through distance learning. I also love finding teachable moments that happen naturally through play. Whether it's going on a backyard scavenger hunt, making cookies, or a trip to the zoo, exploring the world with a child is the most rewarding thing in the world! Sharing books, songs, games, fingerplays, science experiments, & art projects- That's the kind of creative & interactive fun that I would love to share with your child.
