About Selena

I grew up with two sisters who were my best friends. My older sister took care of me, and in turn I felt so affectionate for my baby sister! Since then, I've always loved hanging out with, talking to, and teaching kids. I volunteered to watch and teach kids of all ages at church for years, often babysitting or nannying for those families through the week! Eventually I became the childrens ministry director, which taught me so so much about love and kids and fun and relationships and project management! After the internship, I enrolled at New College Franklin to earn my B. A., where I learned from the classical model about literature, philosophy, history, and language. I met my wonderful husband there, and we got married this past summer! I've been a baker for the past year, and though I have so much fun baking and decorating cakes, I've found I miss the daily connection and rhythm of kids lives and want to go back to my roots.
