About Savannah

I am a freshman at The University of Kansas, and will be majoring in Special Education with a Minor in Art Therapy. In high school, I volunteered three days a week at a school for children with cognitive disabilities. Working with children is my passion and I am looking for a family to care for during the school year in Lawrence!!! As the middle child of three, I grew up looking after my little brother. By the age of 10, I was looking after other children in the neighborhood. By 15, I was spending everyday after school from 4-9 nannying a 6-year-old little girl. Since then, I have held steady babysitting jobs for two families in my community and through those families have many other referred clients. I am a hands-on babysitter. No screen time is preferred. I believe the best play time is that which includes adventures outside and art projects on those days that aren't weather permitting. I am a licensed and insured driver with my own car (I have a strict personal rule that there will be no radio use or cellphone use in the car while children are with me). I have babysat children ranging from the ages of 3 months-14 years. I can also cook more than just Mac and Cheese and enjoy doing so! Looking to work for loving families who value their child's caregiver. My availability is extremely open and flexible. Classes end at 12:50 everyday. Many references can be furnished upon request.
