About Sara

The last 10+ years of my life have been filled with caring for children. These times consisted of my younger sister, my younger cousins, my family friends' children, etc. Aware of my love for children, I decided to become an education major at Duquesne University. My 4 years at Duquesne have allowed me to not only learn more about children and their needs, but also gain ample experience working with them. I was able to complete my field work with children ranging from infant aged to 5th graders each semester as well as spending an entire semester student teaching for 2nd grade. After graduating, I worked as a Kindergarten Aide full-time. I am now working as a mental health worker with children at an out patient center and plan on getting my masters in counseling in the near future. I am certified in Pre-K-4 with an add-on certification for 5th and 6th grades.
