I have been tutoring Montessori style for six years and have found that the Montessori/hands on methodology is particularly effective for students who may struggle in a traditional classroom. I myself grew up with a undiagnosed learning disability, and developed successful strategies to cope with my challenges in order to succeed in the classroom and beyond. Regardless of if your student has a learning disability, every student needs to develop strategies in order to succeed in the classroom and I'm prepared to help them find a plan that works for them. I have received training on par with state standards for math education in K-8. Mental health is particularly important when students are struggling. I have been trained in mental health first aid and adolescent mental health crisis intervention. My goal is to boost the confidence of my students, not to worsen their mental state.
