About Sarah

Hello! I am a current occupational therapy masters student and am seeking a part-time or occasional position with a great family. I am friendly, active, and creative and easily get immersed into a child' s world. I am CPR/ AED and first aid certified. I love to work with children and particularly enjoy individuals with disabilities. I have experience caring for those with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities. When I was 12, my family began doing foster care. As a result, I have extensive experience taking care of children ages 4 through 14, with a wide variety of skills and needs. While I have been informally working with children for 10 years, I have 6 years of paid experience- as a teacher's assistant, camp counselor, babysitter, and tutor. I have four years of tutor experience, particularly with elementary school students who are below grade level in math and reading.
