About Samantha

I am a Liberty University nursing graduate. I do not anticipate beginning my nursing career until August of this year, so I will be interested in a full-time position this summer that could continue part-time once I am working. I have worked at a military School Age Program and at two child-care programs in Lynchburg as a teacher. I have personally worked with children who had mild autism, Asperger's, and some degrees of developmental/learning delays. I have cared for up to 4 children at a time in the home setting, and I shared a classroom of 24 kindergartners with one other assistant at the childcare center. I have been trained in pediatric and infant care through my courses at Liberty and I am CPR certified. I enjoy developing developmentally-appropriate lesson plans and creating an interactive learning environment for kids. I love playing outside, going on field trips, and helping kids to learn something new every day.
