About Samantha

I have taught 6th grade for 2 years, and additionally have taught 7th grade this previous year. I specialize in Language Arts. I am currently a student teacher, teaching in Pekin. I attend Illinois State University and am a senior working towards my bachelor in Elementary Education. I have experience working with children in small group settings, one-on-one and whole class instruction. My subject areas focus on mathematics, science and social studies. I have a vast majority of experience working with children ages K-6. I have participated in tutoring students in basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting for grades 2-4, and tutored students in 7th grade math. I am currently working with a 3rd grade classroom, which provides me with a wide range of skills while working with these children. I have an up to date criminal background check if needed and am CPR certified.
