When I was around 12 years old, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Since last December when she passed away, I would stay with her and my grandfather to help take care of her. I would feed her, bathe her, change her, help with medication, etc. It was extremely tough but I'm glad that I was able to do that for her, and it made me realize how much I would enjoy working with seniors in the future! My grandfather also had cancer and he lived with my family for about a year. During that year we also helped him with bathing, meal prep, etc. It's something that I really enjoy doing and I loved building a closer relationship with my family members. I would love to do that with others as well.
