About Rusty

I started volunteering at the local nursing home at 14 years old, occasionally helping with meals/feeding. At 16 years old I was an overnight home health aide for an elderly man with slight dementia. I provided assurance throughout the night (redirecting back to sleep) and assistance with morning routines. Then the next year I was finally old enough for a nurses assistant at that nursing home. Started and almost completed certifications. Life events entered. I had a friend that slipped into dementia as she aged, her family hired me to take care of her while they worked. I haven't done much care for the elderly as I spent the last few years in the corporate area. I very much look forward to caring for elderly with much respect and love.
