I took care of my father for 6 years. He had Alzheimer's. I woke my dad up in the mornings, gave him shower, personal grooming, prepared and served meals, administered medicine, went for a walk three time a day, spent quality time with him, changed and washed linens and did housework, chores, doctors appointments, church and did anything for him so he could stay at home with me. I am a caring person and I think that's what makes me a good caregiver. I took care of my father till he passed away at home in March, 2015.
