About Rebecca

I'd describe my personality as warm, friendly, and fun! I believe that having a babysitter and/or trusted adults who are impactful can positively change a child's life. I had a nanny growing up, and I consider her family to this day. I started babysitting in high school at age 14 for my neighbors and loved it. Babysitting quickly informed my career path. I worked as an overnight camp counselor in Michigan and 6 years later became the camp director. In college I majored in Child Development. I later attended the University of Chicago where I received my master's in Social Work. I work full-time as a school social worker, so I am primarily looking for opportunities after school hours in the afternoons, evenings, or the weekends. In my spare time, I like to cook, go camping, read, and catch up with friends and family. I have 13 years of babysitting experience, and I work with all ages. I am CPR certified and professionally trained in working with children of all developmental abilities.
