I am a certified K8 teacher. I have been tutoring for three years. Most of my tutoring students need help with reading (phonics), reading comprehension, writing, and math. Math is my favorite to tutor because math was not my favorite subject when I was as a student. Because I struggled, I feel I am more empathetic to students who need more help. I always try to teach skills like finding a way to check the answer or show more than one way to solve a problem.
