About Rebecca

My name is Rebecca M. I am a wife, mother of 4, and a cat-mom of 2. I have 1 year experience tutoring community college students in math and writing, and 2. 5 years experience teaching and caring for elementary school students with moderate to severe disabilities. I am most experienced working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. I am Pediatric CPR and First Aid certified, trained in Non-violent Crisis Intervention, and trained in feeding using a gastrostomy tube. As a caregiver I enjoy art, crafting, and conducting science experiments with children. I believe I have a talent for identifying a child's individual strengths and creating learning opportunities using said strengths. I am a big believer in positive-reinforcement and that it is the best method of changing unwanted behaviors.
