About Rachel

I have had countless opportunities taking care of children, from babysitting for family to being paid as a camp counselor, assistant teacher, and school-age care professional. I have taught in many different settings, from outdoor sports to tutoring in math, reading, and science. My tasks have ranged from helping kids brush their teeth and make their beds to keeping them safe in sailing lessons to leading dissection labs for 12-year-old. From 2019 through 2021 I was a nanny for two kids and had two more added on during serious pandemic times to keep them on track with school and activities. l also have a basic medical background, CPR/First-Aid certifications, and Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification. I enjoy being outside and have a background in public health and exercise science. I previously have worked in a teaching kitchen leading cooking classes, which I really enjoyed! I have worked with special needs children and have generally worked with kids aged 5 to 13.
