About Rachel

Hello! I'm a pre-med college student studying Neuroscience. I am currently care taking for seniors and adults with disabilities part time! In high school I was in the National Charity League and would often volunteer at multiple senior homes, mostly social interactions and light meal prep. - Just completed an internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN, where a big part of my work involved keeping sick elderly patients comfortable. I worked on the Neuro and Cardiac floor - I've seen what debilitating illness such as SMA, dementia, alzheimer's, or parkinson's disease can do to someones soul. Chronic illness is a very isolating experience, which tends to get worse with age. I believe a caregiver like me who believes in using personalized care with a great positive attitude can really make a difference.
