About Rachael

Hey - My name is Rachael! I am currently an Elementary School teacher in Floral Park, NY. During my years of teaching experience, I have taught multiple different grade levels and subjects to students of all different academic abilities. Throughout my daily lessons, I enjoy making sure the students are having fun through hands-on activities and strong peer conversations. Additionally, I incorporate test-prep strategies in all lessons to develop students study skills and academic knowledge. During tutoring sessions, I use the same techniques to establish a relationship with the child where they are comfortable to make mistakes and learn from them. Through teaching and tutoring, I have developed a strong belief that graphic organizers, highlighters, manipulatives and many more scaffolds, allow students succeed on all different levels.
