About Rachael

Hi there! Though I do not have a teaching certificate, I have volunteered as an academic tutor since I was in high school. I have experience tutoring elementary aged students, middle school aged students, and test prep. I also have paid/professional experience as an aide and substitute in a kindergarten classroom, 4th/5th grade English Language Learner classrooms, and special ed K-2 classrooms. I have attended professional development for a variety of math and English language arts curricula. I taught 5th grade summer school for one summer as well, including creating my own lesson plans. I have spent the last 13 years implementing Discrete Trial Training procedures with children with autism. I hope I can help you or your child(ren) get caught up to feel confident in the classroom!
