About Philippa

In 2017 I worked a part time carer. My duties varied from companionship to administering medication. I helped prepare meals, clean around the house, and assisted with personal hygiene includes showers and using the bathroom. I am a warm, caring, and compassionate person which were skills I used while working. I always had an open mind and offered myself to listen to them whether to tell me how their day was going or how they are feeling. As well as listen in appreciation to the stories they told me. It is saddening to see how older people can be forgotten and feel lonely. My greatest feeling of pride I took away from that job was knowing that I could be there for them as one human being to another and learn all about their lives and stories.
