I'd describe my personality as fun, methodical, and caring. I like helping seniors because they are fascinating people with a lot of life experience to share. I think providing care at home is important because it can enable seniors to remain at home and live life on their terms, potentially lessening the need for more aggressive measures. My early years in healthcare were as a respiratory therapist. Later, I transitioned to nursing. Between these two fields I have about 20 years of direct care experience. I have enjoyed job roles involving the following: Pulmonary diseases and rehabilitation Cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology Perianethesia nursing Orthopedic surgery Medical/surgical nursing Acute/Intermediate care Care coordination Wound and skin care Mobility optimization I have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). I am presently certified in Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Mental Health First Aid, and Informatics Nursing.
